Whos Benny???
Oh, is he your OH???
Yep, as of 6 years but a month, and married just over a year.
Should'a said - don't be worried about cocking up if you post a comp - just make sure that you read how to search first; even BGs make a mistake sometimes.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

You weren't slow, I just didn't mention it, as most people (who've been on here long enough!!) know.
We can only swim for about 6 months of the year outside of nets, 'cos of the box jellyfish, which kills. When we went last time I was really looking forward to a swim in the ocean, three weeks before the box jellyfish season started, up at Cape Tribulation, but we were told not to go out as there'd been a three-metre crocodile sighted. Next day, along the beach, we saw a croc next to a creek on the beach, and decided to take the road.
I have never met anyone else other than myself who has come face-to-face with a Cassowary, and they can disembowel you. I was going to walk around it, thinking that it was like an emu, when Benny thankfully stopped me.
And that's without the snakes and spiders, and cockroaches the size of which you wouldn't believe.
I did swim way down south on Bondi Beach in Sydney in 2005 - they have nets there, so you only have to worry about the sharks on the bays without nets; a bloke was eaten in Perth about a week ago.
Oh, and then there is wait-a-while, and the poisonous plants, and the termites which can be a nightmare.
Most people live in the south, where they just have to shake their shoes before putting them on for the most part.
It's a great place...Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188

I only joined the inn few months ago, and just starting to get to know people, now i will remember who he is!!:A
Sounds like it...  :rotfl:
Crocodiles are killers over, I've heard of loads of stories of them finding their way to peoples gardens, and like you said them eating people!!!
I couldn't cope with all those insects/creatures!! But would love the sunshine, it would be a welcome break from the british weather, but I wouldn't like it tooo roasting hot...just 30-40 degrees would be fine for me.0 -

The revenge is in the eating - crocs taste nice!!
That's it - it's the humidity that kills most people up in the north, hence the vast majority of the population down south in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide - our road north to Cooktown was only metalled in 2006, and the coast road is still 4x4 only!!
We counted 64 dead kangaroos, 2 dead cows and one dead pig on the way back from there in 2007, and that's not counting the birds and the roadkill we couldn't recognise. I was cr @ pping myself, as we didn't have a bull / roo guard, and it was a family company car as well - we lost a wheel rim on the way there due to some roadkill getting tangled with the wheel.
You don't see a kangaroo until it is dead if you hit it - they are amazingly well camouflaged, so your eyes are always on the sides of the road.
Roo is one of the best meats I have ever tasted, though, and kanga bangers from Woolworths (they are one of the two biggest supermarkets in Oz, as well as selling what they (used to sell) over here) are amazing.Al Mac Appreciation Society No. 188
