    Morning All
am at work and its freezing, still have my coat on and hands are numb. Stupid storage heating. I intend to do as little as possible today at work and just spend the day doing things I need to catch up on!
Sar, I have been where you are and its hard and painful but something has to give in the end!
Bunny have a lovely day, sounds like you will be knackered by tonight!
Len, please drive carefully, roads are icy out there today.
Pepe if you read this before the deed is done, hope it goes ok

    Morning :)

Sar it sounds like such a difficult situation for you :( - you know it's hurting you to keep seeing him in 'that' way, but it's never just as easy as walking away and forgetting about him, especially when you have to see him on a regular basis anyway.

Recent experience has made me think that sometimes you know what the sensible thing to do would be, but you also know you can't do it, so all you can really do is accept the risk you are taking and try to protect your heart from the pain as much as you can.

Pania told me that sometimes you have to keep a garden fence around your heart but not a wall, and I think that's really good advice.
That makes a lot of sense. :o I know what I want... but I guess I need to stop being deluded thinking it could happen.

Morning all from the Middle of Nowhere near Shrewsbury.:p

Hope you all had a great Xmas. Haven't had a chance to read back (and its a week since I've been on so goodness knows how long that'd take anyway!!! ) so what's the gossip? I

_A - don't do this to yourself. The rollercoaster won't be fun for long and, personally, I think it would be better for you to be the strong one now rather than later. Sorry if that's blunt:confused::o

I have no real news. My friend who was due in January had her baby boy 3 weeks early on 22 Dec. Both are doing great and by all accounts he's a very calm happy little bundle. My turn next then:j ...

Hope everyone keeps well and enjoys the rest of the festives

I didn't mean don't talk to him ever but you do need to draw a line and not cross it otherwise not only will you not get what you really want, you will probably also eventually lose the friendship.

It's even harder when you've got a connection that goes deeper than the naughty stuff. The number of times me and D (mine, not yours lol) said we would be platonic friends, only to go back on it about 10 minutes later. It seemed like a completely impossible and heartbreaking situation at the time, but I think if it's meant to be, it will find a way to be, and if it isn't, it will never be no matter how much you try.

I think Luc is right though unfortunately, that eventually it has to become one thing or the other, otherwise it will become neither. :grouphug:

    Morning all..............

No turkey left here, we didn't have one!! but 5 roast beef dinners in the freezer........

Its a dull morning, but OH wants to go for a walk and I need to go to the PO and draw my housekeeping. Did a freezer and store cupboard aduit yesterday, made up January's menu list and shoping list and went to My Supermarket to price it up, allowing £24 for freash fruit and veg and £20 for a top up shop should manage to save £40 from my HK allowance, which will stay in the bank to bring my o/d down a bit more. At the end Of Feb it will be down to just over £1000 according to Money. It started at £2700 so not bad going. I have put my credit card in a poly bag with some water in, its in the freezer, so I just cannot use it....its cash only from now on. When its gone, its gone. I am hoping to pay the o/d off over this year...........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
