Vauxhall Combo - Where to buy?

Hi, I' m a self employed tradesman, and looking to replace my old style ('94!) Combo with a newer model. Chances to buy privately are limited as they are generally ex lease, so are mainly at auctions and dealers. Ideally, I would like the model BT uses: white, 1.7 diesel and sideloading door. Will try BT vehicle sales 0121 232 6988 later, but does anyone have advice on best value for money elsewhere?
I don' t have a specific budget set - just want the best tool for the job - most reliable miles for the least money. Plan to run the van for many years. I' m in no hurry, old van is fine, more focused on finding the right deal. Thanks in advance for any advice

Yes they're red, but they're so cheap £500 for a 2005 is not unheard of."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Had a feeling someone was going to say Measham! Do private buyers still get messed around and treated like !!!! there? I last went there in 2004, bid highest for a VW van, hammer went down, but when I got to the office, they had changed their minds and decided not to sell because they felt the price was too low! Was not impressed, to say the least, but I suppose if there are bargains to be had.....0

The post office don't care what stuff ends up making.
Most of the dealer vans are just auction fodder, 3 years and the lease is up and they're off to auction."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Can't imagine that was REALLY what happened!
You probably mistook the auctioneer accepting your bid as a PROVISSIONAL sale, which would give YOU the option of increasing the amount you were prepared to pay - or declining from the transaction.
As all the auctions are recorded, there would have been opportunity for you to hear the tape & then clarify if you were mistaken, or if they HAD actually declared the vehicle as an outright sale.
Then you could have insisted that you pay the bid price, as it is at the 'fall of the hammer' that the 'deal' is struck.

transco and British gas used combos. I expect they dispose of fleets through BCA or similar.0
