Hi, i am linking my Dell laptop to LCD TV using a monitor lead. That will be for the display only. For sound i have to connect a cable from headphone socket on laptop to audio (3.5mm jack plug i think) which is situated next to the monitor socket on the tv as explained in the manual. What i need to know is do i use a mono or stereo phone jack lead? can i use a mono one which i have handy?
Thanks
Thanks
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

You can use either, stereo may sound better but the other will still work.0

I want to link a Dell laptop to LCD TV too, to play games.
In layman terms, can someone please tell me which cables I need?
Many thanks

Depending if the TV is VGA (blue D shaped plug with three rows of holes) or DVI (white rectangular shaped plug) you should most likely only need a VGA-VGA male to male lead and a 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo male to male lead. Shouldn't cost much more than £15 in total.0
