  • Hello, can I join the gang too - I desperately need to get on top of something in my life - the only thing I'm good at is writing lists but 2009 I'm going to get organized for real (or at least make an effort). How on earth do you keep up with this almighty thread though? Subscribed to it a couple of days ago but was totally daunted this morning when there were so many posts on it - if I'm not careful will take all day and evening to catch up on threads and not even have time to do a list let alone anything else. Ta ta for now.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

:xmastree:hello alwayshappy and welcome to the thread - it is so popular getting that it is difficult to keep up especially if you are working or just busy. Just post when you can and maybe read back a page and you will soon pick up whats going on - we wont be offended if you havent read every post0- although its a good excuse if you are trying to avoid doing something!!:rotfl:
BTW we love lists and most of us make loads of lists too so you are in good company.
Just in case you havent read what I said to our latest newbies I will post it again here for you.
Please dont think that our houses are all shiny neat and tidy (well mine aint!) just because we post lists -We are all here because we need to be - and we find that following pigpen's lists make such a difference = she keeps us all on track with her golden feather duster and fluffy mules!!!!

Here are just a few suggestions to help you along!

Make sure you read the first post with all the info and abbreviations.

A new list is added every evening (this weeks is a bit different but we will be back to normal next week) and you do it to whatever level you can manage depending on your home circumstances - ie children work OH's health etc

There is no such thing as failure on here - every little thing you do is success! (Just like your signature!)
Remember your house didnt get in a mess overnight and wont get tidy in a day - you need to take BABYSTEPS. It gets easier every week with every little step you take!
We have loads of fun but the support and encouragement is simply THE BEST!!!
Ask any questions and we will try to answer you -with either a very sane answer or a totally off the wall insane one!!!

Welcome to the totally bonkers mad house!!!!

Well done KAZM I am proud of you!! And you have lost weight - thats fantastic - what a way to start the New Year WTG!!!!!
    toots xx

Now this is where you all begin to hate me - wii said it was worried about my health because I've lost weight, its probably due to me not sticking to my diet again! My diet kinda works in reverse - if I eat cakes and biscuits and stuff I shouldnt, I lose weight because I'm only supposed to eat gluten free but heh its Christmas and noone sticks to a diet then do they. All I need now is bad blood results and get signed off again :o

Alwayshappy - dont worry about trying to keep up, just read the first post each day and post where you're at when you do something. Once I'm back at work I just pop in, in the evenings and dont catch up.

And I am going to bed this time if I can shut DD up who is singing with headphones on at the top of her very shouty voice

    See you all tomorrow

Welcome to the world little pigpen's cousin, awwww, babies, tiny babies, I like babies! You've nearly got as many cousins as me :D

Kaz what on earth are you dieting for? far from overweight. Careful with your DD, delicate little age to be worrying about weight, my friends girls become so obsessed with her weight since getting the wii fit, she's a little older but it's really worrying, they've stopped her checking her weight on it, she was sneaking downstairs in the middle of the night to exercise more.

toots York I think is lovely, but there are so many tempting shops so we went after most were closed (apart from Disney shop which I did check for kitten bag and no joy aswell as M&S where I got shoes) which saved me money as I always spend a fortune in York!

Bleurgh, I feel queezy now, box of ferrero collection plus 2 choccucinos is bad!!!!
One day I might be more organised...........

lilme - i'm not dieting as in weight loss dieting. Its supposed to be an avoidance of gluten diet but I cant stick to it and my health and weight suffer. When I did a physical job I struggled to maintain 8st but now I'm more sedentiary its easier (well if I stick to the diet). You see I said it was complicated :o

Oh and I love choccocinos (and you see I havent even checked or thought to check to see if they're GF) espeially with squirty cream on the top and stirred up with matchmakers mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

For all those who love lists-
As one of my presents to myself this Christmas I found a lovely slim blank notebook and on the front cover it reads
"My Lovely Little Book Of Lovely Little Lists"

I seem to write many many lists all organising various areas of my life, I spend hours doing it. I think where I'm going wrong is not readin them back! None of the things seem to get done, except possibly shopping lists but I usually lose them/leave at home!

I made OH's rolls for tomorrow and took washing out of TD, folded it and put the pillowcases and sheet back on the bed, duvet cover needed another 20 minutes (which is up now, better do that...)
We are only using one set at the moment as it's the only set made from that lovely snuggly brushed cotton, the normal ones seem far too cold to get into bed with at the moment. But it means getting them in and out of the laundry system in a day. Guess it keeps them out of the laundry bin!

Better sign off for the night, promise to return tomorrow, will not fall off the wagon yet!
Seems to be a good time of year to join in, happy to see lots of other Newbies as well as myself. Let's do it this time ladies!
