With your past record I guess this means you'll have a new futon by 1pm!! :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Unlikely - but maybe by 3pm - the place I'm going to say they do immediate delivery and disposal (I want them to take the old one away - I don't fancy another trip to the dump!)

Hurrah! Ironing all finished! The bottom of the ironing pile was just towels :T:T

I shall leave it all neatly piled in the kitchen until I get back from futon foraging. Don't want to start sorting out the wardrobes in the front room until AFTER futon delivery

  • Hello again everyone :-)

DD and DH have gone down for their nap, I've had a quick tidy round but just having a sit down with a cuppa, will chop some veg up for some homemade soup sometime before they wake up hopefully.

Got a big of backache from standing doing the washing up. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and my belly is getting quite big so have to lean a bit to wash up lol.. DH does all the washing up in the evening though, he's been really good at doing his bit round the house recently, maybe he is after something? Like I said earlier I have had a lay in (some days till 11!) every day since he's been off work for xmas..

I put the washer on last night before I went to bed (on economy 7 thingy) but I can't hang it on the airer to dry yet because the previous days washing is still damp, despite having the airer in our bedroom all night which is the warmest room in the house  Will give it another rinse later on and hang it this evening, will put airer in the living room when we've got the electric fire on. I've got a tumble drier on its way to us, hoped to be here sometime in January WOOHOO

Anyway enough rambling from me, I've just found a box of maltesers to much with my tea, that will keep me quiet :P

I need some energy, can someone lend me a bit please? I feel pants.

Only need enough to do a couple of loads of washing, dishwasher, dink washing and to try and get the fire lit again!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

  • Right.... productive start I've:

    S&S Kitchen surfaces
    Cleaned the hob.
    Cleaned the wok.
    Shined the draining board.
    Unloaded and reloaded the DW
Peeled and Chopped veg for turkey soup, now bubbling on hob.
    Bolognaise bubbling on hob
Shepherd's Pie waiting for potatoes (DH bringing them home)
    WM x1
TD x1 Folded and taken upstairs for distribution.
    Emptied and cleaned the bin.
    And walked the pooch.

Marvellous. Now, time for lunch. One of the things about school holidays is that it feels like an endless round of feeding time.

In my defence I HAVE been busy! Washing on line - doubt it will dry but it will probably be dry enough to iron.

    Even I don't iron them...

Me and my big mouth! My mum is doing a family meal New Year's Day. She popped here on her way back from Morrison's with a bag of about 8 nectarines for 25p - I suggested she make baked nectarines with Amaretti biccies (like a dead posh crumble really (inc brandy) nyom...long and short of it is I am now making them for NYD as she has enough to do. So now I have to go and buy Amaretti biscuits ... might get 'em on sale though.

I have S&S lounge - DD is now back in there with Jennifer Aniston et al.
Now I am going to rehome yesterdays ironing...
