    I'm sooooo disappointed! :( I made myself late for work on Tuesday morning, I had a really slow internet connection (Virgin Media probs) then had to register an account in order to place my order, but it was worth it, or so I thought!!

    Looks like a repeat of my recent Debenhams & Tescos debacles!! I just wish these big stores would invest a bit of their massive profits in some decent computerisation!! How they can justify not using real-time stock systems is beyond me! It makes me soooooo angry! :mad: They think that by sending some disclaimer on the email stating that they are not guaranteeing your order will be fulfilled that it gives them a get-out clause! Its just not good enough!

    Looks like it'll be the first & last time I use Harrods! I'm sure they'll miss my custom! :rotfl:

  • I went to Harrods on Saturday the perfume department was absolutely heaving with people! Couldn't move and plus when you have boxes in your arms it doesnt help either, In store I could see Marc Jacobs daisy but I couldn't see it reduced, it was right over the back behind the counter, they had another gift set of Marc Jacobs with a patent bag, they had loads and loads of boxes of Prada, I got the one with amber and the cream set, also bought a gift set of Lancome Juicy tubes which were reduced to £8.50 plus you got an extra 10% off with a Harrods Reward card.....no credit crunch in Harrods hehe

    Has anybody who contacted Harrods about the Dior sets had any contact back from them? I sent them 2 emails and they said they would respond as soon as possible and still haven't heard anything.

    I got a phonecall back the next day, they just apologised and said it was a mistake on the website. :confused:

    (Just had a look on the web site and they have changed the wording from white leather gift box to white gift box.)

    They had the Prada Tendre and the men's set before too. Hadn't realised the Prada had gone out of stock? I imagine it is just a case of checking regularly as like everywhere stock levels will change. For what it is worth, seems to have the most regular supply of Prada sale fragrances I have seen and a better supply... i.e not changing stock levels and running out daily.

    I didn't get my Marc Jacobs Daisy Set :cry:

    I emailed Harrods Customer Services & despite their automated reply stating a 24hr response, I had to email again after 72hrs - finally I got an answer 4 days later, which stated:

    These gift sets were available at the time you placed your order but because they are picked from shop floor by the time payment was taken and authorised the stock had sold out as they were very popular.

    Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    So just be aware that your order is not guaranteed & depends on who is shopping in-store at the time!

    I placed my order on the Tuesday morning at approx 6.30am & it wasn't until 7 days later (the following Monday) that they sent me an email to tell me it was out of stock! That meant I had no chance of shopping around & sourcing it elsewhere (even if there were any, cos the gift sets in the sales seems to be rarer than rocking horse doo-dah!!)

    Just so that you know!
