Sainsburys credit card help

Hello,
i am interested in a new credit card and i have been impressed by the sainsbury's one (link below) and i was just wondering your opinion of this card

There are longer 0% BT cards.
There are cards with lower BT fees.
There are longer 0% purchases cards (Sainsbury's shopping excluded).
There are cashback credit cards.
There are cards with lower minimum payments.

Why does this one "interest" you?

well, it gives necter points for all my shopping in sainsbury's, and i shop there, plus i thought the balance transfers was good. also the card i have at the moment does not allow me to see my balance online and i have to go to banks to pay off the amount, whereas this one allows me to do this online

which other credit cards would you advise?

i would be mainly using the card for transfers and big buys, but would pay the installments off

It's best not to mix BT's and purchases on the same card...unless the introductory period durations are the same.

The best card for this, IMHO, would be the Halifax 'All in one' card with 10 months 0% on both BT's and all purchases (not just Sainsbury's). There's a 3% BT fee and the card offers online management.

i carry out a lot of transfers as my daughter is at university, so i would definately need a credit card which does not charge for balance transfers

This card clearly states 3% fee for balance transfers - 3rd bullet point down on your link.

You won't find many that give fee-free BT's at 0%, and those that you do find will probably be restricted to the first 30/60 days only.

Are you saying your daughter spends money on her card and then you transfer the debt to your card?...regularly?

ok, i got confused about the balance transfers, but i thought the sainsbury's card was a good deal on the transfers

i was saying that i transfer a regularsome of money from the card to my daughters card

any other ideas of good credit cards?

I've opted for the Sainsbury's card because it gives 2 Nectar points per £1 spent in Sainsbury's and there is the 12 month 0% on Sainsbury purchases. I shall take advantage of this by putting what I spend into an 8% gross HSBC Regular Savings account. It will take some discipline but apart from the Nectar points, I should earn a nice chunk of interest as well. I shall only use the card at Sainsbury's.

They charge 3% on balance transfers but you then get 0% for 10 months
