freeview box with 2 scart leads

Have to purchase a freeview box for the television in my kitchen, but it has only one scart outlet that at the moment has a dvd playing in it. I have seen advertised freeview boxes with two scart outlets can i use one of them for my dvd player and the other one to join it to my television.

you can but if your DVD player has 2 scart sockets you can piggy back the freeview to the DVD player and the DVD into the tv


although, if you've got the dvd plugged into the freeview box, how are you watching anything?

TV has one scart socket into which your DVD player is plugged?
You want to be able to use a freeview box and DVD into your TV?

If is is just a DVD player then a freeview box with two scarts will make no difference as it the TV that you need to have two.

One to tv and other to video recorder

You need a scart switch for TV that is preferable logic controlled

If it is only a DVD player there is nothing to connect into it - signal wise.
It only outputs DVD video and sound.
You can't watch freeview on your DVD so to speak

if a freeview has 2 scart sockets you can plug a dvd player in.
