My income being assessed for daughter's NHS Bursary

Can someone help me out here please?
My daughter is 21 and started uni in September in her first year of a four year degree course in an allied health profession, so she gets an NHS bursary. We live in Scotland.
Before uni, from the age of 18-20 , I supported her through college, and she worked part time at the weekend as well as receiving a bursary from the college.
She has been receiving her NHS bursary since she started in September, but now I have received a letter asking me for my income details, payslips etc, as her assessment was only provisional.
I'm confused. What does her decision to go to uni this have to do with me and my income now that she is over 21?
I've 3 other children to support and can't afford to give her any more money.

She would need to prove herself indepent of you - be over 25, have been supporting herself for past 3 years or have got married. None of these apply.
If you don't fill in your income all they will pay is her fees, if you aren't on a good income and have three other kids likelihood is she'll still get it still
Editted because the table won't work - but if you earn under approx £23,500 a year, after an allowance has been taken off for your other kids, they won't take anything off her - otherwise it's on a rising rate0 -
Hi there, as I had this when I did my nursing course here are a couple of links for you. The first one is a link from the university I went to, but it does explain the different types of bursary quite well.
http://www.isite.salford.ac.uk/money/help/grants/nhs
The second link is from the NHS Student Bursary website, and includes a bursary calculator and a few useful links.

Hope this helps.0
