Is my telly broken?

I think it must be. If people are on the screen then their faces and necks are purple whereas their hands and lower bodies are normal (same with virgin box and dvd).

Time for a new tv?

Flat screen or one with a tube?
If the latter try turning it off at the wall waiting a while and turning on again.
If no improvement its probably the degaussing circuit that has failed.
O just check all your scarts are fully home, and make sure there are no magnetic fields nearby, speakers and the like.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Its an old telly so tube I think (I dont know how old so it probably has had it). Ive checked the scarts, etc are all fully home. Nothing has altered from when I switched it off at 11pm last night and turned it on at 2pm this afternoon in terms of position, equipment around it, etc.

Will try switching it off for a while and see what happens. Nope, everybody still looks like smurfs!
  • with penrhyn on this, most likely a degauss issue, unplug, wait 2 mins, plug back in and done, if that fails, same thing with half an hour wait, if that fails...tip!

(I once paid to have a TV degaussed, ignorance...eh?!)
