is old sky box sellable ???

just changed over to sky + and still have old sky box so is it worth trying to sell it or is it useless now ?? also the fitter seems to have used my original scart/mains +ariel? [l think] leads , as the new ones that came with the sky+ box are still in the box in sealed bags [ should l hang onto these] ?

also what leads should be sold with the old box

  • sell the old box on ebay with a power lead, depending on the model, £10-£40

    It's value depends much on the make and model of your old Sky Receiver, some models will make better money than others.

    Car Boot / Online Auction etc.

    just had a look and its an amstrad DRX550 its the "creamy silver coloured one" [ hey im a woman, what d,ya expect:rotfl: ] and ive had it just over 1 yr

    so hopefully not a really old one !

  • Run a cable from the dish lnb input to the back of the old sky box and you will receive all the free channels at no cost in a separate room. Use your original cable if he used new cable for the Sky+

    have a look at you sky where the wire goes in, if there is a spare connection just connect the wire in the old box to it and connect to the box if not you will have to change to twin lnb (just means 2 wires can be connected instead of 1).

    look up fitting a twin lnb

    They will already have a quad lnb as they had Sky+ fitted.

    Ignore my deleted reply (im an idiot!), I was thinking of the tv link I have connected to my main sky box as well. Just connect the wire to box and off you go!
