Setanta with New Tele

Hi

I currently watc setanta through freeview box with card slot. I am anow buying a new tele with freeview but no slot. Can anyone help me with how best to now access setanta. Can I use my current box or do I need something called a CAM ? Would I be best buying some sort of recorder with slot . I am just unsure of how anything works in conjunction with all the other freeview channels being through the tele channels

If the new TV has no provision for a CAM then you won't be able to use your Setanta card in it.

But if you just keep your old freeview box and connect it to the new TV via a SCART lead, the TV should automatically switch to that input whenever you turn it on (i.e. when you want to watch Setanta), and revert back to it's own freeview tuner when you turn the external box off.

You will of course need to "chain" the aerial leads from external freeview box to TV, which may give you signal strength problems if you're in a very weak signal area.
