I dont really understand the question. You would pay for your room in the block as you live there during the week? Please could you clarify what it is you want to know? xx0

I do pay for it and never thought any different till i read another poster who is saying as he has a house elsewhwere he doesnt pay for the block at all. So is it right that if you have a house elsewhere but live in you shouldnt pay accomdation charges??0

Beanstealing finished a few years ago.
Now if you live in you pay for accommodation.
You also (since last pay increase in April) pay the same food charges as all livers in.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
I take it you claim to get you home each weekend?? so you can keep an "eye" on your property??If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
I maybe wrong but I thought the only people who didn't pay accommodation were those on the over 37 package, but these were entitled to Married Unaccompanied allowances.
Try going to the armynet website and search for JSP 752. This is the Tri Service Regulations for Allowances.0 -
JSP 752 is here http://www.rafcom.co.uk/pay_allowances/pdf/JSP752.pdf
Be warned though, it is a massive document.
Have you tried checking with your admin clerks?
Still not very clear what it is you want to know, why would you not pay for your room when you live in it for most of the week?0 -
i am asking as other advice has been given on here on another thread that is telling someone that they dont need to pay accomodation charges. i have been in 12 yrs and had my house longer and always paid it. but just trying to get the facts as i do think some of the advice that has been given in this other thread is wrong . The JSP is a huge document and is open to interpertation from person to person and has varied from admin to admin in my experience .0

JSP 752 relates to "Allowances". You need to check regulations pertaining to "Accommodation & Food Charges". I do not work in this area any more. However I think it may be JSP 756.
You really need to check with those who are responsible for your administration as they will be the ones who will action any input to JPA.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
Hiya, im RAF Admin, but being all JPA now we should all have the same rules!! As you are single i am afraid you get to carry on paying full food and accom even though you have your own house to go back to at the weekend. If you were married and were having to live in the block away from your family due to posting then you wouldnt have to pay accomodation. That might be where its got confusing?
Hope this helps :-)0
