    After noon all!

Still loads of us poorlies around aren't there?

I came down with a stinking cold on Xmas eve, and have felt mildly pants since... however today was the day of my xmas 5k race in Stonehaven, we wore Xmas boppers on our heads and ran our wee hearts out. There were some right stuck up sleek runners who obviously resented us being there, one of my chums actually got physically shoved outta the way by some assshole!! Can you believe that!!
Anyhow, i came in with a time of 41mins, which i was very pleased about, although i personally think it is a bit short of 5k, but i'll take it! I could have been quicker but one of the "party at the back girls" was struggling so the 3 of us stuck together and gee'd one another along...

My sister had come to cheer us on and mind Erin for me, then me, Erin and sister went for a swim, it was a lovely day.
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

hhmmm. How to describe it. OK, it's sweet. Slightly sherbety when it is with lemonade perhaps?

oh it sounds quite nice actually, probably something I would drink far too much of!

Wonder how lenny's day of shopping has gone! Bet thats not the way he had intended to spend his birthday!

Happy Birthday Lenny! And hello everyone. Had a lazy few days at my parents, and am now having another few lazy days staying with a friend, she's at work today so I'm just chilling out in her flat (literally chilling, it's so cold - making me very grateful I have central heating at home!)

My mother in law's house is like that! unless you're within a 6 foot radius of the fire in the front room you freeze!
My hubby laughs at me when we're going over because I put tights on under my jeans, a big thick coat and scarf and don't take them off at all!
She just thinks I'm a total wuss (she's right of course!) but have you ever tried peeing an icicle?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • It's quite sickly on its own sally - very creamy and thick. Best with lemonade but it has to be very cold lemonade otherwise it tastes a bit (to me) like cream soda.

Hello stranger was wondering where you had been. Great running today hun, and you know what I can truely believe there would be runners pushing past trying to get to the front and get a personal best! Next race Leeds or have you got any others before then??

I now have a rum & black in my Babycham glass!
the glasses make me think of Christmas at my nan's when i was young, happy memories! A big boxing day meal followed by an afternoon of The Sound of Music and board games, Me and my sister were allowed to have a Babycham in one of aforementioned glasses with a glace cherry in! We thought it was such an exotic treat!

There were only 89 runners!! no need to shove, eh?!

There will be 10k's coming up before Leeds, was considering Balmoral Estate on in April but have heard it's pretty hilly so will avoid it i think!!

Haven't been on much, although to be honest no surprise as i'm generally only on from work!

blimey what were they thinking then, plenty of room to get past, silly idiots!

I must find some races before April and before the June run too...nice and flat ones though.

I forget the majority of your time on here is when you are at work.
