For New Year we will be going to next door neighbours party as usual, very pleasant family evening with old fashioned party games, always good food plenty of wine and lots of kids getting excited about staying up past midnight.

I usually do a family meal on New Years day but this year I have decided not to as I am always watching the clock and the glass on New years eve and have to get up early the next day............................so this year I can actually let my hair own a for once:rolleyes:

Sometimes do you find that you carry on with a tradition just for the sake of it because you have always done something?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • I've half filled an ice cube tray to get some ice redy as quickly as possible for the drink!

  • I don't know what I am doing for New years, one of my friends is going away, the others normally spend it with their OH's.

I might see if any of my friends are having a gathering I suppose. But it means leaving mum alone for the night.

and i have SO much work to do. grrr
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Hey thanks for all the birthday greetings; I am deeply touched. Well today I have been shopping and I got a coat from the Boro shop so Im a happy bunny; anything with the Boro on it makes me happy :). I got asked to go gigging again tonight with the lad I was drinking with the other night but I resisted the temptation :( and we're off to the pictures tonight; I suppose I had to really. Mi dad made us a turkey stir fry for tea which was nice.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
