jax.26: Thank you sweetie, that is a lovely thing to say!
A message to the Bootser who ordered perfume for a Christmas present and has been fobbed off with a p*ddley attempt at compensation by CS - in the words of John McEnroe "You cannot be serious"!!!!
If it were me, I would ring again, and this time, ask to speak to the Head Honcho who is currently in the office. If the CS says "Eh?", you say you would prefer to speak to the Managing Director, but if he/she isn't available, you would like to speak to the person who should have a sign on their desk saying "The Buck Stops Here".
When you're connected, explain calmly, but firmly, that this was purchased as a Christmas present, and that the intended recipient is dreadfully upset, as they feel you have forgotten them, and your excuse that it hasn't arrived sounds feeble even to your ears. Consequently, you have now had to purchase a far more expensive gift.
Say this is a dreadful example of customer service, and that you are sure that he/she will agree that this is not an adequate amount of compensation, especially as you are such a loyal and frequent Boots shopper. HTH
And if there are any Bootsers who purchased more than a fivers-worth of stuff today, and didn't get a Pinkie (can't remember the colour!), take your receipt with you, the next time you go, and ask an SA for one. If you're refused, smile nicely, and ask to speak to the Manager.
Mimi honey, I'm worse than you. I not only pick up discarded pinkies/blueys/till spits, but if I see someone screw theirs up and put it in the stack of baskets, cos there isn't a bin about, I kindly remove it - can't stand litter!0 -

Hate the new site, order problems yesterday and now this
You can try logging out of your account, then doing your shop with out signing in, then at the end add in your details.
Or add stuff to your favourites list then use the add to your basket option, some people have managed to get into their baskets that way. Good luck!
My new year's wish? For Mr B to sort out his site!0 -
What a year it's been. Probably the worst one ever for me. However, I would just like to say thanks to everyone on this forum. Bootsing has become a bit of a hobby for me now, and it's so fun to come on here everyday and see what everyone has been up to. I've also made a few online buddies from this forum, and I would just like to say thank you to everyone that has pm'd me and chatted to me this year. Big up to Babafette, Pash, Patwinning. Thanks to the ladies that swapped pinkies with me. And finally a big thanks to everyone that has posted a glitch or an offer.
Let's hope we all have a lovely 2K9. Best wishes and big hugs to one and all.

mimi i am sorry to hear you have not had a great 2008 - i haven't had a brilliant one but "I can make it through the rain". thought you would appreciate that!!! that song has helped me through some bad times along with "fly like a bird". also mariah meeting her true love in 2008 has given me hope!!!! i love her too and she has never looked happier than with that hottie!!!
you are also a really generous bootser, always seem to be buying things for others - so i hope you get all your karma back in 2009 x0 -
Melgirl; I got given that neutrogena Wave thing and its WONDERFUL!
if you;re unsure of it try it on the back of your hand and you'll notice an instant difference guaranteed!!
i just don't like the idea of buying refills etc,but personally i would use it on hols on weekends away etc ( not that i have many of those!!)

On Boots.com they dont show you what set you get free with the soap & glory offer of a £12 spend, unless Im misssing something.
I think I preferred the 342 offer they had on.
With the 342 you could also have got their new facial products. I got the new youthful serum @ £12 that everyone raves about yesterday, see if it takes a few years off me- I will let you know.0 -
Can I just join the merry throng and wish everyone A Very Happy and Prosperous (we hope) New Year!
I, like pinkdiamond, don't post often due to lack of time (and lack of finding any decent glitches for you all) but I love reading and have benefitted from your knowledge (or rather, my charity has), so thank you to all the Bootsers.
Also, I was just thinking that usually, at the start of the New Year, there are several leaflets which include vouchers that have proved very useful in the past, so here's hoping they might be about in the stores very soon - keep your eyes peeled, girls!
