Dropped into Swansea main branch: sale items are VERY thin on the ground. I don't have much hope of a good '75% off' sale this year.

Just as well I don't have any Pigsback vouchers to spend this time  .

I am well pleased today- went to my local boots and thought I would see if the totes stuff goes through 50% off, had an eye on the nordic gloves & socks but didn't want to pay full price of £18.
well bought nordic gloves £10 paid £4.72
    Nordic socks £9 paid £4.32
Tinkerbell slipper socks £7 paid £3.42
very happy with this might not be a bargain for all but they had loads of umbrella/shopper sets slippers etc.. so quite good for putting up for gifts.

just back from boots at Ford Kinnaird, Edinburgh. No S&G gift sets at all, but lots of individual S&G items near the doors on 3 4 2 if that helps.

not much to be had at all TBH - can't imagine there will be anything left to be reduced to 75%!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!
I had a lovely time and only got one Boots present LOL!
Now its time to hit the sales ,probably missed the best but only got a quick look yesterday and couldn't see anything that was really worth it at 50% off.
I have done a S&G order on .com so quite pleased with that.
Is there any S&G in any Edinburgh stores?

Hi, there was loads of S&G Make it big bags in Cameron Toll yesterday, I picked one up for myself. I'm going to the big boots at Stration today so will let you know what I can find, personally i'm looking for the 'front cover' eyes and lips sets, already got rainbow eyes for christmas but need more!
  • I went to the Boots in the Brunswick Centre. London yesterday and picked up a couple of the FCUK duos for £3.00 each which I was pleased about as they sold out on .com really quickly. I also picked up a couple of fresh cupcakes for £1.47 each for stocking fillers for my nieces. Paid with points. I also managed to get a few things from .com including some s&g sets. popped into Space NK while there. They had some 75% off sets, which you can also find online.

I'm off to Islington later so will report back then. LCx

  • Afternoon all :)

Just back from Boots and they had loads of stuff:-
Santury sets - all different ones.
John Frieda Blonde/Brunettes sets (were £10 - now £5) - absolutely tonnes of these.
    Small No7 cosmetic sets
Loads of different Acessorize, 17, R&M, Elle McP, Totes sets, mens FCUK & Hackett.

Er....... what else can I remember? :o Loads of cards, crackers, wrapping paper and oh..... loads of kids clothes reduced downstairs.

No S&G at ALL though :( And no FCUK Weekend Bag or No7 Skincare Collection.

Quite a lot of good reductions on perfumes and aftershaves too :)

I only bought some cards and a couple of men's 1881 sets (half price to £8.50)....... from the sheer amount of stuff they had I'd rather wait for 75% and 90% - I'm cautiously optimistic there will be some left for those, especially the John Frieda sets - there were SO many of them and it didn't seem like even 50% was shifting them :D
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p

  • Hi ladies and mimi, didn't do much boosting in the past two months after a couple of bad experience with boots. But had a good fragrance set "harvesting" in the last couple of days burning my points, got the following :D

Ralph Lauren Romance set (50ml+7ml+body lotion) £29.36 my favorite fragrance :p (bought a single bottle of 30ml couple of years back for around £28 I think), plenty of this in London big Bond Street store

Lancome Magnifique set (30ml + mascara + body lotion + shower gel) £19.24, picked up last/only one in London High street store, since then haven't seen any in other stores. SA there had no idea this was supposed to be reduced so had to scan twice to make sure

Calvin Klein CKIN2U Him Gift Set £12.23
Calvin Klein Eternity Women Gift Set £12.23
Got this for a friend who's getting married, found both in high str store

    BF got
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Gift Set £26.75 from bond str too. I didn't know this brand before but it smells pretty nice and posh

Also this morning he found a couple of Calvin Klein cK one set at £10.52 in a small boots near work (bought a single bottle one when the fragrance voucher was on, think it was £10 after the voucher for a 30ml one). This wasn't seen in all the other boots I went last couple of days so happy grabbed the last two. The gift set contains a 50ml one so pretty good deal I guess.

Found the big stores in London normally has run out the cheaper sets (or at least not on shelf) while you might be able to find one in the small shops. If anybody's after the RL romance set, I didn't see any in high str or other small stores, but there were hundreds in the Bond str one though. HTH.

I'm sure last year there was an option to only include items that were in stock, but I couldn't see it on their this year
