    Hi all!

So hard to have gone back to work today and have to spend ages catching up on my boots girlie site...
I got some lipsalve of some sort for next to nothing (can't find it right now..) ......
The two really great things about this store is that it has free parking in front or across the street.
Just need to practice having more spidey sense to know where the cheap gum is next time to bump my purchase up!

Ive seen a couple of posts this evening iro cheap lip salve....I could so do with some right now!:p

Can anyone shed any light on what it is and how much?
    TIA
    :A Carpe Diem:A

 WINS = Nothing...I never seem to win anything!:roll eyes:

proud mummy to lil man!! :A

Hello everyone. I don't post on here very often, but am extremely grateful for all the glitches that people have found and shared with others (eg me!)

Just one point I want to ask about-

the UG Spa Rituals Elixir. On .com they are showing as 2 for £6 and in my local Boots today they were showing as the same offer. However, on getting to the till they came up as full price (so £19 odd for the two.) I queried it with the SA who said "Well this won't be on the offer" and looked at me like I was an idiot. She then said "Well I suppose I could look at the price ticket." She did and came back informing me that it was a gift set and so not included in the offer. Yet nowhere on the packaging does it say it's a gift set. I said this and her only response was "well it's not coming up." I said it doesn't say it's a gift set and comes up on .com nd she told me to "buy it off .com then." But obviously I wouldn't get my extra points then nor the blinky and I'd have to pay delivery.

So do you seasoned pros think it's worth phoning up CS to explain? I tried in another Boots saying that I'd had this problem yesterday and had rung CS who said they should have gone through on the 2 for £6 and was greeted with a "Well they're wrong."

Really didn't enjoy the rudeness of the employees plus the false advertising, but do you think CS will be able to do anything about it? (ie get me them on 2 for £6 plus points and blinky?)

    Thank you
  • Sweetie, it all depends on the individual store as to what is in stock. I visited 3 branches today and no Pantene sachets, others on here are wading through the sachets in their store!!

Pre-Xmas, I got 3 for 2 and half price as well, Admit It You Want Me sets, from Ilford - but never saw any elsewhere on my travels. Some people on this site would willingly donate a kidney just to get their hands on those sets!

Forgot to say, the SA that "sold" me the Olay GWPs said "Don't let the staff know"!!!!

Also, forgot to say, that I boldly asked several SAs in each store today "So when do you reduce to 75% discount" in a friendly, chatty way, whilst my heart was beating fit to burst through my 3 jumpers, in case they said "In half an hour"!!! But they all said "next week" and one said "next Wednesday".

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: love it sandra!
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

Hi on Sunday i went in my Boots and saw this offer, UG 2 For £6, on the tickets it said 2 For £6 on UG and didnt mention any exclusions so i took it to the till where it scanned at £9.99 each  i told the SA that i didnt want them then as at that price i thought they were too dear, Sa then asked me what price i thought they were and i told her that i thought they were included in the 2 for £6 offer as there was no sign or smallprint to say anything was excluded, she then asked her Manager/Supervisor to overide the price :T

However walking past them today i noticed the Offer Tickets to have changed cannot remember the EXACT wording but "excluding Spa Rituals hair elixir 4 x 15ml" was definately on it...so they must have been changed overnight

Thank you for your reply. In the 2nd Boots it said this (where I tried to say I'd spoken to CS) but in the 1st it didn't and my SA wasn't that nice!

i would phone up....can't stand rudeness, if i come across a rude sa, i politely ask for their name, weather or not i take it further (tbh i don't) it does make them think about they way they treat people..
everyone here ...myself included was lead to believe that last time this offer was on it was a glich..but even on the promo stands there was a picture of this item, so boots did know that this was included in the offer..
I'm sure these litttle gems are planted to think ...'good old boots' but are they worth the £9.99? i don't think so, but they are great for that £5.00 plus to get a blinkie...thanks Sandra for that term, i love it
    good luck:T
