Awww, I gleefully ran into boots today but there was no s&g, no new mags and arggggghhhh! no Olay GWP's - I really thought I'd bag myself a couple!

Oh well, well done to those lucky bootsers! I'll have to be quicker in future!

    ;)
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

i need to type/write this down to get it straight in my head...here seems as good a place as any lol

6 x pantene sachet = 5.82 to pay in cash

but 600 points back and a £5 voucher to use on my beloved no 7 quick thinking wipes

    buy wipes 6.36 minus 5.00 = 1.36 cash

total cost £7.18 but wipes, 6 sachets and 600 back in points

Can I just ask a quick Q? I bought some No7 moisturiser before xmas and I am having real problems with it, makes my skin really sore and lumpy! I can't find the receipt anywhere, will I still be able to take it back?
Yes, because there is either something wrong with it or you are allergic to it. Try ringing CS first (I think peeps on here said hey will give you a ref number?) If they want proof that you bought it, did you use you advantage card?
They probablywon't give you cash back without a receipt, but push for a giftcard, because the item is not suitable. At the very least they should let you exchange for somthing of equal value.

Just had a good trip to Boots thanks to all the advice on this thread. No Olay GWP to be seen, but loads of Pantene.

    Shop 1
1 pantene sachet (just to check it worked!)
97p to pay, 100 points gained

    Shop 2
    No 7 blusher (8.56)
GWP with blusher (mini bag with brush & mirror)
    4 pantene sachets (97p each)
    used blinkie
7.44 to pay (yes I know, could have been more clever & only paid for 2 of the sachets, but I'm new to this!)
    412 points & new blinkie

    Shop 3
    No 7 foundation (13.95)
used blinkie & 250 point voucher from the No 7 £50 make up box (yes, bought at 50% off, couldn't hold off)
    8.95 to pay
500 points! So seems this 250 point voucher is also scanning at 500
    & blinkie

    Shop 4
    No 7 nail colour (6.12)
    reduced T&G pack of 4 minis (£3)
    used blinkie
total to pay 4.12 (yes, I know, should have been better organised & topped it up to £5!)
    16 points

Had to go home then as we'd run out of blinkies.

Can I spend points on sale items?

make up the second lot to £5 (to get another blinkie) with more pantene and you'll like even more! :D
If you can't find the sachets, they have 200 ml bottles for £1.75 also with the points. hth

Sweetie, it all depends on the individual store as to what is in stock. I visited 3 branches today and no Pantene sachets, others on here are wading through the sachets in their store!!

Pre-Xmas, I got 3 for 2 and half price as well, Admit It You Want Me sets, from Ilford - but never saw any elsewhere on my travels. Some people on this site would willingly donate a kidney just to get their hands on those sets!

Forgot to say, the SA that "sold" me the Olay GWPs said "Don't let the staff know"!!!!

Also, forgot to say, that I boldly asked several SAs in each store today "So when do you reduce to 75% discount" in a friendly, chatty way, whilst my heart was beating fit to burst through my 3 jumpers, in case they said "In half an hour"!!! But they all said "next week" and one said "next Wednesday".
