Im begginning to wonder if its a good idea to go bootsing on day 1 of quitting the cigs.
Ohhh i love a good challenge.
Good for you on quitting the ciggies. I quit a 25-30 a day smoking habit years ago after i developed asthma and i know it is darned difficult to do. Try not to put to much pressure on yourself. Just deal with one day at a time of not smoking. It made it easier for me to just try to get through one day at a time rather than saying 'i have to live without a smoke for the rest of my life AAARRGGHH!!!'.
The first two weeks were the worst, after which, it got a a bit more bearable. Try to avoid other smokers and social situations where you are with others who smoke, at least until you are over the first couple of weeks.
Nicotin patches may help, i bought them for the first couple of weeks but i wasn;t convinced they were doing a bloody thing so one day i took it off and felt no different without it as i did with it and saved myself the bother and money, of buying more, but they do work for some people, so it might be worth a go.
Buying gum or sweets, especially something with a strong flavour like mints, can help, as can frequently burshing your teeth...apparantly its cos when your mouth feels fresh and clean you are less likely to want to gunge your mouth up with tobacco smoke.
Hope this helps.
p.s. stomping your feet at the Boots Till might make you feel better than all the hints and tips tho'Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

The 75% sale starts on the 14th Jan instore and a few days before online. They reduce all the Xmas stuff, yup. You can't normally use £5 off vouchers or points vouchers on gift sets.Val.0 -

Yesterday I finally opened the last two big giftsets from 75%day 2008 and tried to cram the bottles into the cupboard. I think I could drown in bubblebath  . I've sorted 12 items to take to donate to Slimming club, and can j-u-s-t close the door now.
I am trying to convince myself I don't need to go this year, but DH just laughed at meI do actually 'need' 3 gift sets for my nephews for Xmas 2009 to complete the 'friends & rellies' presents, but doubt I will stop then!

Printed off Princess Woo's list of suggested purchases, and have been sitting with my Bootsing Pal for half an hour, planning our Mammoth Glitch Shop. She has a copy too, and we are testing each other, so that we look like Casual Shoppers! :j :j :j
Several people have PMd me with things to look out for, so I'll PM them back, unless I see a helpful-to-all glitch, which I'll post.
Have had to calm my Bootsing Pal down, now that she found out you can get a £5 Blinkie! She has been dancing with gay abandon, round my kitchen yelling "I'm getting a Blinkie, fal lah lah lah laaaaaah"!!! :T :T :T She is 65.
Have wrapped ourselves up warmly, and are now ready to depart. Tally Ho!!! Provided we don't get arrested will report back.
PS - I thought the site had been invaded by aliens, cos It Wasn't There. Then I saw it! "When is the 75% sale?"!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:0
