I've never made an order online with boots before, so was wondering when I was thinking about this whole S&G glitch thing - is it possible to cancel the order after you've made it and paid for it? ie would it be possible to make the 1st order for over £12 of stuff plus GWP, so you can save the stuff to your favourites, then cancel that order and still have the stuff remain on your favourites?
To be honest I'm not really bothered about this glitch, I've still got quite a bit of S&G stuff from my last round of bootsing, and got some lovely lovly sanctuary stuff for christmas, but even though I don't want the glitch myself it's the working out of the best way to do the glitch that I'm finding fun!OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -

Hi
I would personally use bits out of them and re-package in a gift basket. I would not give the entire thing as a gift as it is very obviously a freebie!!!! If you combine different GWP then so long as they weren't say the mini foundations I don't think people would know it was a freebie.0 -
Have finally found how to get the glitch on .com !!
Order enough S and G to get one of the admit it sets as the gift with purchase but be careful to include at least one of the 1.95 mini pots of your choice that are in the promotion or several assorted ones. Even better if you can do this with part of another order so you are making the most of your free postage and any points offers.
When you finish your order save it to favourites
You will then find the admit it set in your favourites and you can add it to your new order. With luck it should then give you one admit it set free for every mini you order, it may only let you have the free set if the mini you choose was of the type on your first order :T
How do I add something to "favourites" please? I'm looking at my basket, and when I click on "favourites" it says "you have no favourites listed". I know that!
 EDIT: By the time I'd typed this, an explanation was given to someone else. So, you have to place an order for something, and pay for it, so that you can then save it as a favourite. Thank you!!!!0 -

Sandra, you need to be logged in first.
You click on the item, and underneath the photo you will see 'add to wishlist' and 'add to favorites'. If you click the favorites button it will show at the top of the refreshed window that it has been added to favorites.
You can also add to wishlist, as the wish list can then be emailed to friends /family to let them know what you want as a present. Hope you can understand this :j
You can also view your favorites from the link in your basket (near the bottom) it looks like this>>>>>>>>>>

I give them as "just because" gifts, not for a specific occassion, to friends overseas (along with loads of other gifties, lol). The friends are none the wiser that they were "free" as they look like giftsets (though some of them I actually paid for when the gwps were sold after the initial offer ended). Some people donate them to charity or make gift baskets including the gwp and other goodies for friends/family or for charity.
However, if you were given just the freebie and it was a birthday present, etc., I can see how you might think the person was a bit cheap (even if they were broke, they obviously weren't too broke to buy themselves lots of items in order to get the free gift, lol). In the final analysis though, no one is ever required to give you a gift, and when you get one you should be grateful no matter if it were a freebie. If you've ever been single and living far from loved ones, and those loved ones were poor anyway, you may find you're not getting many gifts at birthdays/Christmas. There were many times when I was single and far from home that a lovely gwp from someone would've been a very touching gift (and quite a bit nicer than the thoughtful, yet useless, tat my mum would send me, lol. But she doesn't have much income and I appreciated the thought). I guess it all depends on circumstances, and everyone's is different.0 -
Re the GWP-gate (!) I think they look great, and in this day & age, we have to use our ingenuity! For example, there's a link on this MSE for WHS vouchers, and I've printed pages of them.
I was getting £25 books, reduced to £10 pre-Christmas, using a £5 voucher, so the books were costing me a fiver. Then today, I noticed lots of these books were reduced again by 50%. So I picked up two and asked the SA if I could use the voucher as my total would be £10, and she said it was fine, even though the voucher says differently.
So I've got two super books, worth £50, that have cost me (drum roll) £5!! Now that's what I call a bargain!
