Evening all, can't be on for long as prepaid internet connection not working tonight so this session is costing me money! Anyway, got home tonight to find that my housemate has accidentally smashed a (in fact my only) bottle of perfume, all over my bedroom carpet
Carpet is knackered anyway and doesn't show the stain, but the room now smells like the perfume counter in Debenhams...
HELP!!!!!

Or if you don't have any - try bicarb, leave it while to soak up the smell and then hoover off.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. OK, No glycerine around so I've covered the area in bicarb - might actually leave it until tomorrow and see if it has any effect.

No it's ok him being in my room, it was part of the internet connection problem - he thought i might have left my computer on and that it could have been trying to connect to the network, so he came in to check. (The controls for the central heating are also in my room, so yes he does have cause to come in here occasionally.) Internet connection now seems to be restored after 10+ hours
And the very first thing he did was offer to replace the perfume - he's lovely reallyHe's a terminally single bloke who doesn't have a clue! (This reminds me of the time he thought he was being "helpful" by transferring a load of my washing into the tumble dryer, complete with all my underwired bras which can't be tumble-dried! He ended up with a bill for £75 because the wires were bent out of all recognition...)
Ugh... place still stinks of perfume tho'...Operation Get in Shape
