PC CD Rom game installation query

Hi Guy's,
I have installed a fishing simulation game on my pc following the instructions supplied but as soon as we try to play the game the screen goes blank and we are kicked out of the game and a note appears saying 'memory access violation'
Any ideas ?

Cheers

if Vista you need to right clcik on the exe file for the game and check it has administrator rights , also try compatabilty mode in XP format rather than Vista

Sometimes when for example windows does an update it may stop a game from running properly .The developer then produces a patch that will allow the game to run again.
If you want to list the full title I will have a look and see if I can post a link. But it is probably just as easy for you to look yourself .

It's probably DEP stopping it from working. You can add an exception to DEP for the particular program.

Here's an explanation of what DEP does and how to add an exception.
