Student Help Needed!

I'm an A Level student looking for notes and resources on the poems by Carol Ann Duffy, I already have the york notes guide which covers part of the poems in the book titled "The Worlds Wife". I have found a great resource of this teaching website

http://www.teachit.co.uk/index.asp?M=5&A=2&S=487&Z=1#S487

It's the The World's Wife teacher guide, however to gain access to it I have to become a member and the trouble is with that It's 35 pounds just for the guide! I'm not sure what to do to get the guide from the site cheaply, as it seems ridiculas to pay 35 pounds for a 62 page document.

maybe speak to your teachers? see if they personally, or the school as a whole, has a membership to it?

or do you have any family friends or relatives who are teachers who may have access to it?

In my experience, Carol Ann Duffy's work is hardly very hard to see through. You can usually bluff your way with her, I would imagaine. If you were to get a different idea to what she intented, the examiner will love it even more.

One cheap way of reading about her works, life and techniques would be to use this little tool: http://books.google.co.uk/books?q=%22carol+ann+duffy%22&hl=en

She also does talks with some exam boards, where the hire out theatres and let schools pay to listen to the poets - GCSE Live (maybe an A-level equivalent). I went on one last year and she has got the most boring voice imaginable, but we understood her a little better. You could always send her a letter, if she doesn't reply, then you've only lost a few minutes of your life, but when you're asking the questions in a letter, then you will know the questions you need to ask. How poetic!
