Seems to be a problem with the dryer not drying properly. Put it on for a hour and clothes still seem wet or damp. Its not over loaded so at a loss.
Any clever people out there?

You don't mention whether it's a condenser dryer or a vented one? If it's a condenser dryer, it may be that the condenser is clogged up with fluff. If so you'll probably also find a lot of soggy fluff around in the compartment the condenser sits in, so give that a good clean out too. There may also be a build-up of water which you should be able to get rid of with an absorbent cloth. If you do this and it still doesn't dry properly, call an engineer.
If it's a vented dryer, not sure - possibly it's not getting hot enough to dry the clothes, in which case get an engineer to have a look at it - my last one had to have a new thermostat. This can happen with condenser dryers too.

If the dryer is working ok, try putting a dry towel in with the load, this helps speed up the drying process slightly.

Hi,
Its a vented one. I am beginning to think a new thermostat might be required.
Thanks for all your help.

Small overheat thermostat at back of machine is the favourite . Either faulty orterminals burnt off.
HAVE YOU TAKEN THE BACK OFF YET ?.
Remember to unplug machine.0 -
Hi Cagey,
Waiting for in law to come of holiday before attempting to take back off. My wife calls me the new age Frank Spencer.
Doesn't even trust me to change a fuse.
