Its less than 6 months old (just) the onus is on the shop to prove there is a fault. Afraid I doubt you can get money back/replacement but a repair will be the only option0

It will prob b a hardware / software problem. 3 weeks is usually top end, they say this to coverr their back, and to obvisually cover xmas/new year holiday period. Some repair firms have a factory shut down.
If its software it will be a quick reset and your phone back, if its hardware usually get a new phone. Or it might be 'customer damage' where the repair shop can tell if there is customer abuse and i am afraid they wont do anything really. Customer abuse is usually from dropping phone, liquid damage, etc etc...0 -

When things break, you get them repaired.
Imagine how much stuff would cost if retailers had to hand out new ones everytime, instead of just sending back the duff ones for repair...."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They are entitled to offer a repair instead of a replacement/refund.0

Thank you for the replies. Its such a minefield knowing if the retailer has offered you the best option. sometimes the wealth of knowledge/rights of consumers is confusing to understand.
