Please can anyone let me know how long i will likely be waiting for a new card i went into lidl on xmas eve and the man inserted my card into the chip and pin and clearly snapped it in half - did not help in that i needed to get to cashpoint and get out xmas money - that darn stupid shop - just needed to ask on turnaround time as i need to make an urgent payment on my card on Monday 5th Jan and desperately need my card.
Thanks
Thanks

I would think it unlikely that it would get to you by then but I don't have the most efficient bank in the world. Have you got telephone banking or online banking offering the facility to reorder a card or will you have to go into branch?Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!

I would guess by Monday 5th or Tuesday 6th January at the earliest. It normally takes 5 working days.0

If the card is damaged as opposed to lost/stolen you should be able to use it for up to 30 days - so you may still be able to make your payment with the old card - provided you haven't binned it.0
