No precise answer I'm afraid. Depends upon your specific Terms and Conditions and the reason for cancelling.
Unless it is due to a failure of the holiday provider, it is unlikely that you will be able to make a claim on the Card Provider.

guess it will depend on why you need to cancel...is it due to illness or has the holiday company made changes or simply because you have changed your mind?
