That's what I suggested - did you get it to work Chewbumpkin (I know it won't take you down your preferred PaintShop route)?
There are other RAW editors out there - Faststone Image Viewer allows you to view and edit RAW, but not to the same extent a dedicated RAW editor would.Charlie0 -
Sorry - have been out all day, but am going to try tonight. I have already downloaded and installed the photoshop plugin for dng conversion, so will have a go later.
Am also going to download your suggestion of Fastone Image Viewer Charlie.
Many thanks for your time folks.0 -

Did you download the Windows Canon codec I linked to above, which lets Windows programs open RAW files?0 -
The RAW to DNG converter isn't actually a photoshop plug-in but a stand-alone application where you specify the folder containing your RAW images and the folder you want the DNG conversions to go - but you'll find all that outChewbumpkin wrote: »Sorry - have been out all day, but am going to try tonight. I've only just got a DSLR myself and am just dipping my toes into the world of RAW, so am only regurgitating what I've read!Charlie0 -
Try this one - Recognes nearly all forms of RAW files:

Some manufacturers are adding further encryption within their RAW files, which limits the software that can use them.
Another trick to watch for is that the free codecs are only 8-bit & you have to pay for the full 16-bit version.
The above, or packages lke Gimp will sort you out.

Right, have downloaded all your suggestions. I really like the faststone and rawtherapee programmes. I think they will do me well until I can upgrade my PSP Pro.
Many thanks to you all. Have lots of virtual  on me!0
