How's everyone doing on the challenge? I am getting geared up to get back into the Matched Betting to give myself a chance at meeting the target. Quidco was an abyssmal £1 something, so will add this when received! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I too must get myself back in to matched betting - especially as I have been saying this since the last challenge finished 2 yrs ago :o - I think it made up over half of my total last time
9/15 of my e-bay items are saving and I will have more to list tomorrow as I'm going to buy a few bits with some of the money I've got already to see if it sells.
Also want to try these free scratch cards - is there a thread with hints/tips?
Need to look at TCB aswell cos have never looked at it before.
So that's the [strike]3[/strike]4 things on my list for this weekend ....
1. Matched Betting
[STRIKE]2. Ebay[/STRIKE]
3. Free Scratchcards
4. TCB
Hope everyone's having fun making money for nothing

Hi everyone
I'm still waiting for my Ebay items to finish on Sunday, then I will get moving.
They are going for £15 at the moment so hoping that I can get at least £30 for them.

As far as I can gatherit is best to sign up to one st minver account and one other. Otherwise you might get caught. (Though I haven't had time to read the full massive thread). So I have done Take a Break and Littlewoods. As long as you keep a cash balance you get a free scratch card a day. I have been getting 10p to 50p a day on each account but you can win up to £100-500. Someone said best to buy the odd bingo card so you look like a proper gambler lol.
Having a hairy night on the MB, didn't use long enough odds to profit from my freebie  BUT I think I will be about £17 up, watch this space lol. Not as easy as it looks and I'm out of practise!!! Edit to say I came out £22.57 up but need to be more careful with this!
Good luck with your Ebay items Emily, what are you selling?
Did you double your £10 Laura? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I just registered at Money Back Madness and got the free £10. Puts me at £29 for week 1, which at least gives me a little breathing room to work out how to raise the other £995!!
I've pm'd EarlyLearner for my guide to daily clicks, which hopefully will give me a little more cash, and I've got a couple of things waiting to go onto eBay. They were things I bought ages ago, have used lots and was going to throw away but are still in good condition. Does this count, or it is cheating?! It's not like I bought them to sell (and are mainly some of my daughter's old books and clothes).:A
I really want to think about matched betting, but will look into it more and really get my head around it before I do anything.
I'm gonna keep checking back on here for inspiration, and to share anything I find (although I am really just a newbie so I'm sure you'll all know everything I'll put anyway!).

You cant withdraw the £10 bonus unless you have £35 in confirmed transactions, and the cashaback amounts on this website are terrible compared to others ( for example £4.50 for lovefilm, compared to others which offer £15+), so you would probably lose money in poor cashback transactions in order to cash out the bonus.Extra £1000 in 100 Days Challenge - £278.91/£1000 :j0 -
Did you double your £10 Laura?
Have just been pottering along with free scratchcards for last few days. Won £1 yesterday with virgin, and £5.10 today(2 scratces on a sunday!) Took a gamble on a 50p scratch card and won £8 so total win today and yesterday: £14.10 (then tried another 50p scratchcard and lost) so £13.60 from virgin after all the ins and outs, and 30p from Yahoo, 12p from TCB free clicks. Total: £14.02
With 32.32= £46.32
Have also sold old none working mobile to mazuma.com for £10 (was £12 last week. Grrrr) so will add that into totals when i get cheque- may take a while!
That means I have £56.32 in the pipe line...
Have been looking into matched betting but it looks really complicated.. does anyone have any advice? Is it as hard as it looks?0 -
Actually, forget that matched betting lark... I really can't get my head round it. Not gonna start betting when I don't understand it..that's just silly. I'll have to start figuring out a plan B. Not sure what that's gonna be....0
