myson power extra 222

Options
Hi all
I have an mpe222 which operates on my swimming pool but it keeps letting to much hot water through and increasing the temperature of the pool and obviously increasing my oil consumption. I changed the head on it this time last year and it seemed to solve the problem until now. Is this normal wear and tear that I have to put up with, the thermostat is set at 30 and is designed to a tolerance of +/- 0.2 but the latest episode allowed the temperature to reach 34.5 before the indicators told me it had closed and the temperature started dropping, any help greatly appreciated, thanks

  • re: your myson valve, these valves typically are just motorised valves which open and close on demand etc, i would suspect that your thermostat control would be the issue here rather than the motorised valve itself, although, it is possible(unlikely though) there could be some grit or debris preventing the valve closing fully?

depending on the type of thermostat you could just replace or engage a competent electrician to have a look for you.
