Bathroom Problems

I bought a complete bathroom suite from a large DIY chain & used there interest free buy now pay later offer. My own plumber fitted it, this was in May. The past few months I've been having problems with it. The toilet seat came off, my fitter put it back on. It came off again, contacted the shop, unknown to me they ordered another toilet seat, when it arrived it was broken in pieces, phoned the shop, there fitter came out, an hour later he had refitted the original seat. The last month if not longer, the toilet seat is loose, the cistern has a fault in the ceramic, bath & basin taps drip, the plugs don't seal. Have phoned shop who said they would contact supplier and get back to me, this was before christmas and I've heard nothing.
The suite has to be paid for in March, where would I stand if I refused to pay if nothing is put right? & could I say that I want another suite and for them to fit it at there expense? It cost over £1500 and then I had to pay my fitter on top of that.

If you don't pay I'd expect you'll be charged interest - I also expect that the interest free credit is not from the DIY chain but a seperate finance company. Check the small print. The interest rate you'd be charged may be rather high as well.
Your agreement with the finance company is probably nothing to do with the DIY chain, witholding payment would cause yourself problems.
The things that need fixing are to do with the DIY chain, not the finance company.0 -
I took a stronger worded letter into the manager at Focus and the next day got a phone call, a representative from the bathroom company will be coming out this Tuesday.0
