Great camera! I bought one 6 months ago. I have seen it on the web for £158. Sorry but I can't think where.0

Always try to get Jessops to pricematch the net.. they'll normally match amazon0

I am looking to buy one of these but am concerned by the absence of a view finder, especially with the sun behind me. Does anyone have any comments on this please

If the sun is behind you, then you are typically between the glare and the camera screen.
You can also ramp up the LCD brightness for such situations0 -

I've got the previous TZ3 and was concerned about the lack of viewfinder but I haven't found it a problem in practice. As Ringo said you can increase the screen brightness to compensate. They're great cameras for outdoor use, not quite so good indoors but still good enough for my needs. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
As per f1charlie, if you want a straightforward low price, Jessops is definitely the cheapest at the moment at £166.16 including discount code XMAS10.Could anyone let me know best deal to buy a Panasonic Lumix TZ5, I will also be looking for bundle deals aswell, many thanks to you...
But you could also try Littlewoods Direct. They're selling the Panasonic DMC-TZ5 for £198.00 (£193.78 when the £4.22 VAT reduction adjustment has been taken into account). If you've never purchased anything from LD before, you can use this '£30 off £60 spend for 1st order' discount code (NB: expires 31st Dec 2008):
For your first order from Littlewoods direct enter ZG872.
(I used the code today and the discount worked for me.)
And if you click through via TopCashBack, with any luck you should receive 8% cashback, making the total cost including delivery £154.31, by my reckoning.
But be aware that LD are awaiting stock and are consequently showing an estimated delivery date of Thursday 8th January at the moment.
I've been watching prices for the TZ5 for a few months now, waiting for the cost to drop, and I reckon £155 is the best price I'm going to find it at until Panasonic release its successor.
Hope this helps.
