Wine glasses yellowing with age

We have a set of Casa Pupo engraved wine glasses which we always use at Christmas. However, over 30+ years of use, the glass has started to yellow with age. Is there anything I can do to restore their original clear glass condition? They've always been hand washed. I wondered about putting them in the diswasher but fear I might damage them further. Any ideas?

The only thing I'd try is some white vinegar in a bowl of soapy water, just let them soak overnight. Don't use anything abrasive on them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I would agree with not putting them in the dishwasher, but I have cleaned even quite fine crystal by soaking in a warm solution of Steradent. Place the glasses in the warm water first, then drop in the tablets as the fizzing action seems to help.
I use Steradent (or the cheap Boots alternative, and the extra strong version is the best) for cleaning lots of things like this (and it is great for cleaning the shelves from the oven if you can find something big enough to soak them in) only thing I don't clean with it is my teeth, cos they are my own;).
Another thing that cleans delicate stuff really well is Milton sterilising solution."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Whoops. Just realised that I posed a similar question about a year ago. I did try these solutions but nothing really worked, which I why I thought I'd have another try to see if there was a solution out there.0

It may well be a natural process within the glass. There are different oxides of lead used in glass making:- one is yellow oxide, which will, over time, become more pronounced.0
