Hi
i bought someting from an ebayer in the US. She sent me TOTALLY the wrong item and then became abusive when I gave nagative feed back as she refused to refund me.
I raised a pay pal action against her and she taunted me saying that Pay Pal would make me pay the postage to return the item to her so I better remove my negative feed back or I would be paying for it.
SHE WAS RIGHT! Pay Pal are insisting that I pay the postage (£15) to track the item and send back to her. I'm innocent she sent the wrong item but I end up paying.
I called paypal and they weren't intersted and told me its in the paypal policy and that is it.
DO NOT USE PAY PAL TO BUY FROM EBAY AS YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY IF YOU GET THE WRONG/BROKEN item!!!!
The seller was kids 1 - don't use this seller - they're been really rude and unhelpful from the beginning and now she is threatening me!!!!

Can you not sell it on ebay and got some money back?
I know, again paypal rubbish. Has anyone tried getting return postage back too?0 -
I managed to get it back by emailing the seller, a good seller will always pay postage if item is damaged or they sent the wrong item.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -

And your alternative is to pay by cheque/PO or bank transfer - which offer absolutely no buyer protection whatsoever on eBay.
It's unlucky that your seller was particularly obnoxious in the whole matter, but if you had bought anything else from the US, or elsewhere via the interent or even on the high street, it is still up to you to return it at your own cost.
Many people/sellers/shops may refund your costs, especially if it is their own fault rather than yours, but it's not to betaken for granted.
And it is hardly the fault of paypal.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
This same experience is why I do not shop from overseas buyers. Got stung last time.0

You are not entirely in the right over this tbh, you should have given the seller a chance to correct the mistake before leaving a negative feedback, I don't blame her for being narky at you.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
Well actually zenseeker i did try to sort it out with the seller first. she became abusive and rude so i've had to report her to paypal. Its not like I just gave negative feed back without trying! and also to be fair she does have 60 neutral or negative feed backs in the last year which you could have read before assuming something like that? WOW!0

Buy British and support OUR economy, rather than buying tat from abroad!!
It's just the way it goes with Paypal - that the buyer pays the return postage, although any decent seller would refund this if the mistake was theirs.
How much was your item? i.e. is £15 more than the item is worth?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
