£4,999.99 for those who are wondering.

And that is not the quality of photo I would expect for a five grand system, they have made it look terrible! :rotfl:Thanks to all who post constructively.

LOL, was waiting for people to click before divulging the price, after all a £1k drop is very tempting, but not when you see the actual price!!0 -
Thanks! I've ordered 5 and with the money I saved I ordered one more!0

I just bought the newer Kuro 6090LX for £3750 from Richer Sounds by price beat with a 5 year Pioneer Warranty so this is a crap deal...Its not even True HD.0

progressive is better than interlaced....1080p over 1080i
ok im doing this off the top of me head.....
HD ready means that the tv is capable of showing HD video (720 lines). They often have a standard digital or analogue tuner but not a High Def tuner. So to watch HD content on a HD ready tv you need a HD source (like a ps3, xbox 360, or hd cable/satellite box). If it is just called HD ready it only has 720 lines, if it is called 'HD ready 1080' it has 1080.
Full HD stands for tvs that can show 1080 lines (HD ready tvs just show 720, compared to standard def tvs 480, or 576). The number of lines is equivalent to the number of pixels in a camera, the more the better (thats a bit of a generalisation).
Either way neither are capable of showing HD content without a HD source (unless the tv states so).
You can't convert HD ready to Full HD, so you will have to decide before you buy. Full HD is the better option, but costs more so check if your HD sources will even be able to show 1080 lines.
if you look at the spec of the play.com tv...the resolution states -
1,365 (Hor) x 768 (Ver)
the kuro
1920 (Hor ) x 1080 (Ver)
if i get the time, maybe tonight, ill check out some reviews and do a few comparisons between the two tvs. im surprised play.com have that panasonic at such an expensive price. the guy who got that kuro is lucky wish i had that kind of money to burn.
did you get the detachable speakers and stand too?
check back on this post again tomorrow ill try and update it by tonight0 -
Never mind all the HD 720 or 1080 and the Progressive or interlaced stuff - whats the point in paying £5k for a telly with only 2 HDMI ports??? Thats one for the Xbox 360, one for the bluray player and none left for the Amp, or the Sky+ HD box etc etc. For £5k I want at least 4 HDMI ports!0
