Hi, i've just synced my ipod into itunes on our pc, i now have all my childrens music on my ipod, how can i remove it from my ipod without removing it from itunes? thanks

ok.. what you need to do, is plug in the ipod, and select the ipod from the list on the left hand side
go into the music tab, and choose - sync only selected playlists, and select the playlists you want on the ipod. then you can create 1 playlist for your songs, 1 for your kids, and boom! job done
the more sensible way is to have different libraries set up for music, so you have 1 library for kids, one for yourself, then you can go back into just plugging it in and syncing instantly. to set up a different library, quit itunes, and hold shift down as you double click to load it back up

Like markymoo says it's all in the way you create and manage playlists. In my house we have 3 iPod/iPhone users, each with their own stuff they like to listen to, but we have only one iTunes collection. That way we can set up any number of playlists and when we connect our own devices to it we can sync them to the desired playlist. Easy!0
