uurgggh Npower
Just signed up with Npower back in april then i was paying £60 pm DD
now those idiots wrote me a letter and decided to up my Montlyh Direct DB to £159 per month!!!!!!!!!!!! cant even afford this month!
no idea why it came so high there is just 2 of us living here at home in a 3 bedroom flat and out most of the day......
bye bye npower and goodriddance..
can anyone recommend me any decent companies to switch for
good thing is they told me u dont need any x amout of days notice......ill just pay what i owe them and !!!!!! off!

The reason is almost certainly because you have built up a large debit balance(possibly because of estimated meter readings) and they are getting you to repay that debt.
Also with NPower you pay more for your gas in the winter(and less in summer) because they 'seasonally weight' the Tier1(primary units)
There is not a lot to chose between the various companies in price and for gas NPower are pretty competitive.
Make sue that you don't jump out of frying pan etc.0 -
hmm yeh i panicked this morning
last week i got sent another letter saying that it raised to £112 that was based on esimated reading.......
however they asked for a meter reading so ir ang up and gave them the new one which hiked my bill to £159!
mind u the period is from 16th Jul - December 20th0 -
You need to make sure you update your supplier with an up to date meter reading regularly then, that'll make sure this doesn't happen again.0
