Absolute waste of time!!
Was there at 8am and struggled to find anything I wanted....a very poor sale!0 -
I agree - waste of time! I went to Lakeside (Essex) this morning and didn't buy anything.0

I felt sorry for the staff; my small local store opened at 6am but there was nothing on the M&S website about opening hours...and I certainly wouldn't have gone in that early!0

I went this morning and got a few bits for the kids.
Pack of 2 girl top age 3-6 months £7 reduced to £3
Girls reversible jacket age 3-6 months £3
Kids dressing gowns various sizes £3-5
Never looked at any of the adult or homeware stuff but there was a few good buys to be had in childrenswear although there didnt seem to be much for boys.0 -

Was just going to post the same thing!
I was there around 6:30 am and the staff hadn't marked down very much at that time. It was hard to work out what was in the sale and what wasn't. If you asked some of the staff they seemed irritated by the questions, and certainly didn't seem to want to move out of your way so you could get to the shelves. I felt they thought I was in their way!
They should have got the staff in early to do the pricing and then opened up at 8 or 9 when it was all priced.
Although, to be honest, I didn't find too many bargains. I bought new underwear, which was reduced a bit - but there weren't the level of reductions in store that they had last year.0 -

I read on the christmas leaflet that non foods opened at 6.00am but as the food hall opened at 8.00am, I assumed it was a misprint.

Went to Gemini at 6.00am...nothing that exciting...even took hubby but only came away with jeans and a cardigan...no boots in the sale at all (well not my size)0

DD & I were pleased with what we got, best bargain being £9 for a £29.99 lambswool jumper & £13 for underwear costing £38.50 originally. Wanted a zip or button-through dressing gown, but none to fit me, & only had summer nighties reduced.
Menswear was disappointingly thin but did get DH slippers for £7, also a pack of 7 prs socks for £5 (were £10).
Some Xmas Gifts but thin on the ground, but found some bits for the present box.
Some very rude shoppers about - thought one woman was going to knock me over in her rush to snatch a skirt
. Bit silly as it was not that busy & I am clearly not a size 8! I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Went to Bluewater this morning. Was ready to spend £50 on a new suitcase but they had a p*ss poor selection. Picked up 2 bras for £4 each and left. I was disappointed by the sale but everyone else was buying bucketloads. Queues going round and round.
Hit a few other stores and the only places I felt I got really good deals in were Boots and Crabtree & Evelyn.0
