Afternoon everyone!
Anyone else a bit sad about Woolworths? I mean, I'm not sad about the fact that I got a big bag of stuff for £3
but today is the last day for our woolworths and its going to leave a big whole in our little high street. I fear in the current climate no one will be wanting to move in there, hmmm. I did enjoy 70% off though!!
I think today will mostly be spent wondering what to do with my christmas money... I got £70 and need to decide whether to save it (not for something specific, just the general feeling that I need to have money saved up!) or to spend it and, if so, on what? There are a few things I 'want', some of them are closer to 'need', but I'm so strict usually that its hard to spend money at all.
Anyone brave the sales at silly o'clock this morning? Glad I don't work in Next any more!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003

that's ok Sammy - I think he kind of thought it might be helpful, but I also think he went into panic mode the day after spending money on a hotel room because he (by his own admittance) didn't want the 'hassle' of me taking him and him having to get a taxi. I think he just went to town, saw it, thought - I'd like that, so I guess she will also.
Just the fact that I already have a built in in-car sat nav system I don't use already........and the fact that I never use my mobile so won't need the bluetooth connectivity don't help really..........I just sat and watched him get excited as I opened it, grabbing it off me to find out how it worked, loading my phone address book on and saying how I could make and answer calls whilst driving (it never rings apart from sales calls or him wanting a lift!) and I just thought - you bought this because you wanted it........:(
However, I am not going to be ungrateful and I am not going to let him take it back as I know it was something lots of people would have had at the top of their list. The fact it wasn't on mine, is my problem.
But hey, I've taken him to his car and he's gone straight home.........so that's me on my own again for the day.

I thought that too Numpty, but can't find a track called Draw Back the Curtains.
Is it a bay window Sammy? Does she mean the elbow of the window where it curves?
