I'm back from taking OH to get his car (he rolled in around 2 I think). He made me take the sat nav (he got all narky and Kevin the teenager when I said I didn't need it) even though I knew where I was going, he repeated every direction she gave even though I could hear perfectly well and then got sh_tty when it turned out he had given me the wrong road to input and I kept driving towards where I knew I had to go. She kept saying 'turn left'........'turn left'..........'turn left'.....in the end I said 'turn off!'....:rotfl:
She also didn't tell me to turn where I knew I had to turn off.......'good job I know where I'm going' I said..............;)
I now have a headache from 'well, you obviously don't want it, I'll take it back, all you have done is pick fault'. Erm, I haven't said I didn't want it, I haven't asked for it to go back, I haven't picked fault. So I calmly explained (even though I didn't want to) that a sat nav would not cure my fear of driving. It would not sort out all the other elements of why I have the phobia and it wouldn't stop me planning the route beforehand - a sat nav is not going to suddenly make me just jump in a car and drive somewhere. He just didn't get it and just kept saying 'well, you obviously just don't want it'. Sigh....

Hi all - Rangers v Celtic game for me shortly and the sheer bloody minded nastiness of that particular game! I love it!!
BB, I know what you mean about that blinking sat nav woman. I was purposefully taking wrong turnings on the way home just to hear her go, "TURN AROUND" in an increasingly ratty voice!! Changed it to Darth Vader.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I'm afraid she only has 1 voice bathgate - ratty!!
Tilli (whoops, got my 'l' and 't' mixed up there for a second :rotfl: ) - is he OK - has he been in contact?

I've just microwaved the last of the roast potatoes and squished them onto some buttered toast with a bit of tomato pickle.
