Maybe I will kick my wife out of bed and give her a tenner to surprise me with a basque :D

The shoes I want are not in the sale. M&S are craps for mens' sales...

Good point , I too am waiting for decent reductions on menswear. But it looks like I will have to wait till the next 20% day.. problem is with my abnormal size 32-34 waist leg (30) 29  .. it will mean traipsing to Marble Arch and a day off work .
O I wish they would go back to even trouser lengths..
  • I live on a dual carriageway (well not literally) that leads to a large M&S store and last year there was traffic queueing for ages from 7a.m.

This year ... not a car in sight and its nearly 12p.m.

I suppose that sums up this years sale

One assistant was vey snappy with my sister.

We were made to feel a nuisance for getting in their way.

Interesting comments. I found the same this morning, the sales assistant was clearly unhappy to be there and was stroppy at the till. My advice to the redhead from The Exchange, Ilford - you know who you are because I did take the time to complain about your attitude - is that if you can't even pretend be pleasant then retail should not be be your environment. You wouldn't last for 2 minutes in my team!

I bought a load of stuff BTW, am expecting to rtn much of this though in the NY!!! Not worth the time scraping the ice off the car windscreen.

Got a few good buys at my store. T shirts reduced to £3 from £5 - not a great saving but I love M&S T shirts.

Gorgeous short winter white jacket down from £39.50 to £19

Mens trousers down from £19.50 to £9

I've been to my local store and spent the grand total of £13 - it was rubbish.
Save yourself the hassle and do it on-line instead x
That's how much I spent too. I spent it in the foodhall though and there were no queues there either. :j

I managed to get out of Next in time to be one of the first into M&S. After Next with pretty much everything reduced you had to search for the sale items. I headed straight upstairs for the shoes but only saw one style reduced, so assumed they hadn't got round to them. Then I noticed a whole wall out of the corner of my eye on the other floor. The children's bargains were limited at the time but I was the only person looking so managed to get lovely belted jeans for each of my boys @ £7.

I'm sure that much more will get marked down during the day.
