How do I transfer old Palm info onto new Palm?

I have a palm which I update onto my computer. The on/off button has lost its spring so I have got my sisters identical one to use (as she never uses it). How can I transfer all my old Palm info onto my new Palm?
I have tried but when I plug in the new Palm, it says that I need to call it something different...
Any ideas from you experts please as I have none?

I remember having this problem when trying to transfer from an old to a new Palm, and it wouldn't let me use the same name. I can't remember how I got round it, but I'm fairly sure I got the answer here:
http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=405,E=0000000000196039101,K=1184,Sxi=0,Problem=obj(42970)
If the link doesn't work (it looks like it might not) you need to go to the palm.com website and look in the Support/Knowledgebase section for the "Upgrading from a previous model" guide for your current model. The guide should take you through the synch of the "old" one and then a restore to the "new" one.0
