Another itunes question - please help!

Sorry if this is a really stupid question - I have itunes on laptop & have been happily using my ipod (classic) for 6 months. Now my daughter has an ipod nano and wants to put her music on it - will that cause a problem if using same laptop? Or will itunes know it's a different ipod and have a different library for it?

No.. a library in iTunes is just that...

if you plug in your daughters nano, it will just put on the music in your library into her nano, and then when your daughter adds on her music to the itunes library, it will add it on yours.

now what you need to do is to set up a new library for your daughter..

2 ways..

1 - have a different username for your daughter
2 - set up a new library in iTunes for your daughter - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589

did you click the link next to the second option? obviously not... erm... *clicks*

aah.. here are the instructions
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.


and i thought most people would know how to set up a new username in windows, but anyway.. here goes (off the top of my head, so might not be precise)

users
add new user

That would be great if you're sure you wouldn't mind - I don't really enjoy her music much
