rescue services like the AA or RAC arent there as a "my cars broke come and fix it" type company. they are a rescue service. you breakdown and they come and get you to relative safety, if its a simple fix then they will do it.
but they wont, and i wouldnt expect anyone to stand on the hardshoulder for longer than is required. if towing away is safer for everyone then towing away it is.

now all you have to do is get it fitted at maybe at least £60 an hour.

People really do need to learn how to drive properly. My '92 Golf still has the original clutch on it and is closing on 100,000 miles.

I just called them today, they were really helpful!, thanks :)
No one said it was gonna be easy!
  • I know you have sorted your clutch now but need to get this of my chest  I have had excellent service from the RAC and have used a recommended garage by them in the past. The AA on the other hand were shocking, I will NEVER go to another AA approved garage again nor will I ever become a member of the AA again, it's a very long story but put it this way I was without my car for almost 2 months and it cost me an absolute fortune, it resulted in me taking the car out of their garage and putting it into a local one. Resulted in a huge dispute with the AA and even though this was almost 3 years ago it still makes my blood boil. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
