Hi all, hoping someone who knows can help me
Basically I've narrowed my laptop hunt down to 2 laptops.
a) ACER 5535 £399 from TEsco (AMD Turion)
b) Acer 5735 £388 from comet (Intel Core 2 Duo)
They both seem pretty much the same wqith the usual ( I expect) slight differences. I've hunted for reviews of both but haven't been able to find any.
Any chance someone on here knows which is the better performer?
All help greatly appreciated:j

I ve narrowed it down to the exact same too, and I'm not sure which one to get either. Though I'm starting the think the Tesco one.
Just to let you know you can get the 2nd one £20 cheaper

slight difference in that the Comet one is 4GB RAM and the Amazon is 3GB
Not sure how thatmatters but thought I'd mention it0 -
also re my first post the Tesco one has a 1GB processor cache and the tesco one has a 2GB
Does that really make any difference?0 -
ACER AS5735
Better processor
Acer 5535
Better graphics however still inbuilt, bigger HDD0 -
If they are powered up just press the Windows key+Break.
This should bring up the System window and then click on "Windows Experience Index", shows the scores and the higher the better.
HTH0 -
Core 2 Duo is the better CPU. Both have enough RAM. Ignore the above post about the Windows Experience Index - it's a completely pointless tool that tells you nothing of any use.0

Hi there,
Don't know if you have already purchased your laptop, but I brought the Acer 5535 from Tesco's and just wanted to advise that mine came with an ATI graphics rather than Intel', which Tesco's product info (leafet & online) seems to be advise it comes with.Sealed Pot Challenge Member 015 - Target £50 (2015=£70; 2014=£74.40; 2013=£61.76; 2012=£82.50)
