Hi
I wonder if any of you have heard of this problem?
Imust have clicked on to an infected email and downloaded this somehow.
My computer is now almost kaput, the icons on the desktop are showing links (read only files) icons to "gay fetish sites etc" and no Im not kidding and in my system tray( the bit on the bottom right hand corner of computer ) there is icons for something called System Secure and theres lots of pop ups for this bleedin Rapid Virus System
Ive tried System Restore but its like the virus/trojan? is in complete control, Ive ran my Macafee Scan its quarantined it but it keeps reappearing.
Im not even sure if you might get what I mean I cant even get onto my Yahoo now Ive had to use my friends computer to post this.
My computer keeps rebooting itself and telling me that Windows has detected this virus, I have cleared the Gay Fetish icon of my desktop and in my settings but it keeps reappearing, any ideas what this is or how to fix it.
Ive googled this it says malware/spambot but the virus ?? whatever keeps redirecting me to itself ??? its like somethings taken over my computer
Any ideas help would be appreciated
Anne

Firstly disable System Restore - yes, disable it! Some viruses restore themselves from the System Restore files.
Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking- do this by shutting down the computer, turn it on and start tapping F8. You will hopefully see a screen like the one below:
Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter. You will load into Windows, in Safe mode.
Now run ESET's online antivirus scanner (link). Install the online scanner when prompted, then let it update itself. After a minute or two, it will give you two options (Remove found threats and Scan unwanted applications) - tick both of these and scan away.
Scanning might take a while, but let it do it's thing and delete/remove any virus threats.
Now you need to download, install, update and run a FULL scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (link) and see what it can do.
When it finishes, remove anything it finds. It will then produce a report - copy and paste that entire report here, please.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
Personally I would back up your stuff, reformat your drive and reinstall Windows. It sounds as though your computer is seriously infected.0
