I have an LG Viewty mobile phone and I want to use a track as a ringtone but need to convert it to MP3, alll my CD's are M4a's.
I'm not computer savvy by any means so as simple as possible would be great
Best Wishes!

I've not used this but it looks to do the job without limitations / the need to buy the thing:

You can do this easily with iTunes. Go to Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings and change it to whatever type of mp3 you want to make. Now right click on the track you want to convert and select "create mp3 version" (this menu item always changes to whatever import format you have selected). Once you're done, go back to the preferences and change it back.0

An m4a is just an AAC file.
A protected AAC file (i.e. one with DRM) has the .m4p extension.0 -
Aha, yes, you're right.
Apologies for the comment - I'll edit it.From Poland...with love.

I use Super (Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer)
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/super.cfm
It converts almost everything very easily and it is free.0
