To my version of bubble&squeak/burgers I add some hot chilli sauce and a softened onion to the mixed up vegetables before frying in rissole shapes. Really spices it up!

Late, we're having dauphinoise potatoes made from sliced left over potatoes, grated cheese and left over cream (warmed through with chicken stock cube and lazy garlic) over the top. We'll have this with cold meats and maybe pickles. Delicious!

I mashed mine and fed them to my chickens this morning - they loved it!

Make some packet stuffing, mash up the veg, mix both together, bind with an egg if necessary and use as a filling for pasties
  • Love the idea of making a cheese sauce and baking it. I will be doing that with mine tomorrow!

  • If I have any leftover veg I usually add it to a curry or bolognaise sauce.
  • Made soup with my leftovers-not much left tho.
sweated leek celery and onion in butter, put sprouts peas and carrots in processer, added to saucepan. Then put turkey bits (off boiled carcass) in processer and into soup, thinned down with stock and veg water.
Tastes good and nice texture as not totally smooth.
Wish I'd saved some to cover with chhese sauce!!

my mum always cooks too much sprouts and potato at christmas so as we have enough for bubble and squeak on boxing day - i cook mine seperatly (veggie) in veg oil and everyone gets it cooked in the big frying pan in turkey fat... it is then served with cold leftovers (nut roast for me and turkey for the rest) with pickles and salad - a bit of a family tradition!

  • Sprouts aren't my No.1 favourite vegetable, but I'd still rather pick them out, finely chop them and then put them back in , rather than waste them.

Chop all the ingredients up small, dry fry with some finely diced potato to get rid of the water and add some spices (salt, garam masala, cumin, fresh green chilli). You now have a fantastic stuffing for samosas. Serve to the in-laws with a generous dollop of Heinz ketchup, they will think you are a culinary genius!
